Zambie Taux d'intérêt

The Central Bank of Zambia lifted its benchmark interest rate by another 50 basis points to 14.5% during its regular meeting on February 12th, 2025, marking the second consecutive rate hike. The decision was aimed at counteracting persistent inflationary pressures and bringing inflation back to its target band. Zambia's annual inflation rate stood at an over three-year high of 16.7% in January 2025, unchanged from the prior month, well above the central bank's 6-8% target range.
