Vietnam Taux d'inflation

The annual inflation rate in Vietnam eased to 2.91% in February 2025, a three-month low, down from 3.63% in January. The slowdown was driven by lower inflation in food and beverage services (3.10% vs. 4.42%), mainly due to a sharp decline in grain food inflation (1.10% vs. 3.11%). Price growth also moderated for drinks and tobacco (2.02% vs. 2.72%), textiles, footwear, and hats (2.02% vs. 2.72%), and culture, entertainment, and tourism (1.86% vs. 2.48%). Deflation persisted in transport (-2.74% vs. -0.36%), postal and communication services (-0.55% vs. -0.69%), and education (-0.56% vs. -1%). Meanwhile, core inflation, which excludes volatile items, slowed to 2.87% from 3.07% in January. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.34%, following a 0.98% increase in the previous month.
