US wholesale inventories fell by 0.5% month-over-month to $899 billion in December 2024, after a revised 0.1% decrease in the prior month in line with advance estimates. Stocks of durable goods shrank by 0.6%, following a 0.6% drop in the prior month, and nondurable goods inventories fell by 0.2%, after a 0.8% increase in the previous month. On a yearly basis, wholesale inventories fell by 0.1%.
