Suisse Taux d'inflation

The annual inflation rate in Switzerland stood at 0.3% in March 2025, unchanged from February’s near four-year low, slightly below market forecasts of 0.5%. Price growth held steady for housing and energy (at 1.4%), communication (at 0.7%), recreation and culture (at 1%), and education (at 0.8%). Meanwhile, transport costs dropped further (-2.1% vs -1.1% in February). Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.2% vs -0.6%) and household goods and services (-0.7% vs -1.2%) also decreased, albeit at a slower pace compared to the prior month. The core inflation, which excludes volatile items such as unprocessed food and energy, remained unchanged at 0.9% for the third month in a row. On a monthly basis, the CPI held flat in March, in line with expectations, following a 0.6% rise in the previous month.
