The Netherland’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate at 3.7% in December 2024, unchanged from the previous four months. The number of unemployed individuals rose by 1 thousand to 373 thousand, while employment increased by 21 thousand to 9.814 million. The labor force participation rate edged up to 75.9% from 75.8% in the prior period. Meanwhile, there were 175 thousand current recipients of unemployment benefits during the period, down by 1.1% compared to November. In December 2024, the seasonally adjusted jobless rate was at 3.6%.
