Pays-Bas Balance Commerciale

The trade surplus in the Netherlands narrowed to EUR 12.5 billion in November 2024, down from EUR 13.0 billion in the same month the previous year. Exports declined 0.5% year-on-year to EUR 69.6 billion, with sales falling to non-EU countries (-1.3%) and stagnating in EU countries. Among commodities, exports mainly decreased for mineral fuels and lubricants (-13.1%) and machines and transport equipment (-21%). Meanwhile, imports rose 0.3% to EUR 57.2 billion, driven by an increase in purchases from non-EU countries (+2.3%) but a decline from EU countries (-1.8%). Notable increases in imports were seen in chemical products (+10.1%) and food and live animals (+9.1%). For the period from January to November, the trade surplus widened to EUR 133.8 billion, up from EUR 120.2 billion in the same period last year.
