Liban Taux d'inflation

The annual inflation rate in Lebanon slid to 14.2% in March 2025, the lowest in five years, down from 15.6% in the previous month. The main downward pressure stemmed from slower price growth in housing & utilities (16.5% vs 18.5%); transportation (2.5% vs 9%); clothing and footwear (11% vs 14.4%); recreation & culture (4.5% vs 5%); and restaurant & hotels (17.3% vs 18%). Meanwhile, price fell further in furnishings, household equipment & routine household maintenance (-8.4% vs -8.2%). By contrast, cost for food and non-alcoholic beverages accelerated (21.4% vs 20.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.4% in March, the lowest in six months, slowing from a 0.7% rise in February.
