Japon GDP Growth Annualized

The Japanese economy expanded by 0.9% on an annualized basis in Q3 2024, a notable slowdown from a downwardly revised 2.2% increase in Q2 but above market consensus of 0.7%, preliminary figures showed. Both private consumption and government spending increased further, while capital spending declined after robust growth in the previous quarter. Simultaneously, a deterioration in external demand persisted, contributing negatively for the third consecutive quarter.
