Fidji Taux d'inflation

The annual inflation rate in Fiji accelerated to 1.5% in March 2025, up from 1.4% in the previous month. Upward price pressures came from miscellaneous goods and services (9.3% vs 8.6% in February), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.6% vs 7.5%), education (0.5% vs 0.5%), furnishing, household equipment, and routine maintenance (0.4% vs 0.4%). Meanwhile, food prices rose the least since November 2020 (0.2% vs 1.4%). Downwrad price pressures came from housing (-0.5% vs -0.4%), clothing & footwear (-0.7% vs -0.8%), while transport prices dropped the least in six months (-1.5% vs -2.1%) and recreation and culture fell by 0.5% after being flat in February. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.6% in March, rebounding from a 1.3% drop in February.
