The annual inflation rate in Croatia eased to 3.2% in March 2025 from 3.7% in the previous month, in line with preliminary estimates. This marks the lowest rate since November last year, mainly due to slower inflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.7% vs 5.1% in February), housing and utilities (4.5% vs 4.6%), and furnishings, household equipment, and routine maintenance (0.5% vs 1.8%). Meanwhile, deflation deepened in clothing and footwear (-2.7% vs -2.4%), and transport costs declined (-0.4% vs +1.8%). In contrast, inflation accelerated in health (5.4% vs 4.6%) and recreation and culture (5.7% vs 5.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.4%, matching initial estimates and rebounding from a 0.1% drop in February.
